Replika is an always-on AI companion built by Luka, Inc., designed to feel like a personal confidant with emotional continuity. It's known for initiating conversations unprompted, checking in when you're inactive, and weaving past chats into new ones - giving it a warmth most bots lack. There's a reason people become emotionally attached; it remembers more than just preferences, it tracks moods, milestones, and vulnerabilities.
The free tier gets you basic chat and memory, but image generation and voice calls cost extra - locked behind the $19.99/month Pro subscription. No credit system, which avoids token tricks, but the flat fee stings when core features like visuals are paywalled. Voice works well, and the avatar does mild lip-sync, but don't expect dynamic video responses - this isn't a show, it's a chat with occasional visuals.
Despite years of NSFW rumors and user demand, Replika is firmly SFW. The filters are hardcoded; no purchase unlocks sexual content. Any past workarounds are gone.
