How the score works. Out of 10, in four parts, all shown on every row. What it can do (5): how uncensored it really is (1.25), image generation (0.85), real character video (1.25), voice (0.4), long-term memory (0.85), make-your-own-character (0.4). Features locked behind a top tier count as partial, because you should be scored on what you get for the price you pay. How well it does it (3): execution quality, so shipping a feature badly does not score like shipping it well. Trust and billing (1): documented breaches, cancellation failures and dark-pattern rebilling pull this toward zero. Value for money (1.5): capability delivered per dollar at the entry price. That last one is why a cheap complete platform beats an expensive one with the same feature list, and it is the single biggest reason the order looks the way it does.
Where this scoring is unfair, on purpose. This index measures uncensored companionship with real media. An app that is excellent but deliberately blocks explicit images, like Nomi, scores lower here than its quality deserves. That is a limit of what we measure, not a judgement on the product, which is why the awards above exist.
How the reviews are written. Every platform in this index has been signed up for and used by our reviewers, on the paid tier where the interesting features live. Where something could not be confirmed from the inside, such as a figure a vendor keeps behind signup, we cross-check the vendor's own pages and published reports and we say so rather than guess. This category changes constantly: prices move, filters tighten, features appear and vanish. If you find something out of date, tell us and we will fix it.
Prices are approximate entry-tier figures gathered from official sites and 2026 reviews; most vendors hide pricing behind signup, so confirm before buying. Feature availability and NSFW policies in this category change constantly. Logos belong to their respective owners and are used to identify the services reviewed.
